We got started in the Boston/Cambridge area last year as an extension/rearticulation of the work with kids and making and experimenting and doing that got started with Camp Kaleidoscope. The active, socially engaged, and curious technical and intellectual communities of the Boston metro have been the perfect place to meet the children and adults that make the work we do possible, and it’s awesome to think that we are, in our small way, part of what makes the area special.
In Boston, we run art, science, technology day programs during school vacation weeks. We also run periodic building days, workshops, and other events.
Our school-vacation programs are located at the Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church, who have generously allowed us to make use of their space. The church is located at 155 Powder House Boulevard, near Davis Square, in Somerville. If you’d like to know more about our day programs, have a look at our summer program page
Most of our other events take place at Sprout, a small ‘community science’ lab near Davis Square. Sprout is a new organization, but they’re doing awesome things. Check them out, especially if you’re in the neighborhood!
