For reasons further outlined here, we will not be running our planned summer camp this summer. In its place, we will be running a series of one-day workshops and small, week-long programs around various creative/inventive/scientific/artistic themes.
Our current schedule of programs is here. If you’d like to register for one or more of these events, or if you are interested in helping us to organize a program at a time or around a theme that we don’t already have listed on the schedule, please email us at partsandcrafts@gmail.com and maybe we can make something happen.
Our one-day workshops are usually free, though if you wanted to chip in a few bucks for supplies or lunch or whatever we wouldn’t say ‘no’. Workshops with particularly high supply costs where you get to make something and take it home will have a supply price, as well.
Our week-long programs are priced on a sliding scale – our base suggested rate is $250 per week for our 9:00am to 3:00pm program, with additional costs of $25 and $50 for before- and after-care from 8:00am to 5:30pm, respectively. These rates are merely suggestions, though. If it makes more sense for you, personally, to pay less (or more) per week, that’s okay by us – it costs us an approximate minimum of $1500 per week to run our programs for around 8-10 kids. We really want camp to be a diverse environment in as many ways as possible, including economically. Our priority is working with lots of cool kids and making cool stuff, not getting rich – if we can afford to run our program we’d pretty much universally rather have you come to it than not have you come to it, whatever you can afford to pay.
